After a terrific Fall opening I’m trying to push myself towards Christmas. It seems the older I get time flys by faster and so do the holidays. I’ve been doing this for over 30 years now and I’ve know nothing else. So it’s onward and upward until the end of the year! This Christmas season we have a new small German Belsnickle, a wonderful happy fat snowman, Krampus with furry coats, spun cotton snow people and assorted Santa dolls. I’ve also have brought in a line of super cute paper good, specially soaps, and lotions. We’ll have all kinds of new goodies, something for everyone even for that man in your life that you want to smell oh so good! To finish off don’t forget our nostalgic candy counter…yum!
Well Summers moving along faster than I expected! The weathers so stinking hot here in central Pa that Fall will be a welcome change. We will be opening the store on September 7th for our Halloween and Christmas launch. I had planned on only doing Christmas from here on but it just didn’t seem right to not create Halloween. We’ve been busy working on quite a few different items including German candy containers, belsnickles and Halloween lanterns. New creations and old creations have kept us busy molding, sanding, painting and finishing. Here’s a peek!
With another year soon ending we would like to thank our wonderful customers for supporting our small business. We had so much fun visiting with everyone who visited the store! Going forward into the new year we will be working towards Christmas 2024. For those who haven’t heard yet we will be transitioning to an all Christmas store opening in September/October through December.
As much as we love Easter and Halloween we are now going to be more focused on creating new and more complex Christmas items not only the reproduction belsnickles , putz animals and spun cotton ornaments. May you all have a wonderful and happy new year!
Oh my, I forgot about this blog! Here we are almost ready to open for the Christmas season. Shame, shame on me! The past several months have been the most trying time of my life. Actually it started a year and a half ago when my father passed at 96. Since then trying to lend a helping hand to my 94 year old mother has been more than taxing. Recently she moved into a very nice assisted living home only a few miles from us. Well things haven’t gone quite as well as I had hoped. Maybe time will help her to adjust. I sure hope so. So this situation has caused us to be running way later than usual with our Christmas opening. My stress has been off the charts as I’ve tried to get everything finished for Saturday November 18th. This is the date we will open for the season. Our normal hours through December 23rd will be Fridays and Saturdays 10-5. We looking forward to visiting with everyone and to show you our new addition “Gracie” our 5 month old Fox Red Lab!
Hopefully Fall will be in the air here in central Pennsylvania before long. After a long frustrating summer we finally have an opening date of Sept 9th for the Fall season. It’s been a challenge with losing our Rottweiler Raisin unexpectedly in June that devastated us. Guy had his second knee replacement just a few weeks ago and recovery has taken longer than the first one. Family obligations still are ongoing and basically I’m about worn out. Somehow we will prevail! We look forward to seeing everyone on the 9th and catching up!
