Busy little Elves!

 

Summer proved to very busy around here. The big project was having the store and house finally painted. It turned out better than we even expected! We are now working like little elves in the studio on our Christmas creations. Fall has moved into central Pa but it’s a reminder that Christmas is right around the corner. Guys busy making feather trees including a six foot one this year for the store. I’m busy with belsnickles and everything else. Time....we need more time!

September is fading...

I just looked at the calendar! How can September be passing by so fast? I feel like it just started. Well we are busy in Christmas work even though we are still selling Halloween in the store. I’m in Santa and snowmen mode and Guys working on feather trees. This year we will have a new reproduction of an antique green with red tips tree. This is a beautiful tree. There’s also several new belsnickles this year. The large red one pictured came from Belarus in Eastern Europe. I liked him because of the unique box hat. We are expecting another belsnickle in this week. This one is a small candy container unlike any I’ve ever seen so that’s always exciting! The third new belsnickle is finished and in the store now. He’s a nice little fellow with a kind expression. Just a reminder we are only open right now Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10-4. Starting November

1st we will go back to our regular hours. We had shortened our hours because the store and house were being painted. The project is completed but the hours will stay the same until November. This gives us more time to work!

A Very Big Thank You!

I wanted to thank everyone who came our for our Fall opening yesterday. We enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones. Just to let everyone know, our hours going forward will be Thursday -Saturday 10-5 until November 1st when we will return to Tuesday -Saturday. The reason for the change to three days a week is our store and house will be going through a big long messy scraping , painting and repair. Come November she will look all pretty and new!

The Big Yuck

Yuck.....that’s how  I feel right now.
It’s August 1st. My shops  not anywhere near together for our August 24th opening. I’m working but it doesn’t feel like I’m up at full speed. Maybe I need to admit that full speed for me isn’t what it use to be. I turned 60 this past spring and I’m just not comfortable with that number yet. How did I get here I wonder most of the time. I know I can’t be that old...someone must have lied to me. I’ll post a few pictures of things I’ve been working on. We would love to see you at our Fall opening August 24! I’ll be the old lady behind the counter!

Alls well that ends well....

The summer is moving quite fast around here. Closing after the Easter season for our summer break, we were able to get our stone cottage up for sale. To our surprise it sold within 24 hours of listing! Sadly we said goodbye to (her) and wish the new owner a long and happy life there. It’s all bittersweet. Now it’s onto a long list of summer projects around our house and store in town. We are in the last stages of remolding the store then I will be ready to start my Fall and Christmas work. I hope everyone’s having a great summer and look forward to seeing everyone in late August!

Just a little Toadstool!

Here’s a quick picture of our new little rabbit sitting under a toadstool. This is a reproduction of a German candy container original I was lucky to find this past week.  Guy was able to do a quick turn around on this mold so we could get him in the shop for Easter. Going fast!

Welcome Spring!

Oh it’s a beautiful day out! The air is actually warm. It was a good day for washing the nasty store windows . Everything outside looks fresh and new. Here’s a quick picture of 3 rather dapper looking gentlemen that will be ready for adoption tomorrow at Stamm House! Saturday hours are 10-4.

Spring is right around the corner, at least for this week! Stop by Stamm House to see our new German rabbit and chick candy containers. It’s Almost Time!

It’s almost time again for Stamm House to open for the Spring/Easter season. Join us Saturday March 9th for our opening day. We have been busy making candy containers, rabbits, chicks and many other surprises for your Easter gift giving! It’s been a long cold winter so we are really excited to welcome Spring. Starting Saturday March 9th our hours are as follows...Tuesday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-4. Hope to see everyone here!

Easter’s on its way....

Most people are just settling in for a long winters nap but in our studio we are in full Easter mode! Guy and I started working on our new Easter pieces right after Christmas. This year we have a nice selection of new items and are bringing back some old favorites. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s going on in the studio......Stamm House opens mid March!
