Onto Halloween!

Well spring blew by and now I am into Halloween work. New projects are keeping me busy but rest is needed in between because I still am battling covid symptoms. You never know what the day will bring. I’ll be working through out the summer and hopefully be ahead when we reopen in late August. Here’s a sneak peek at a couple of the new lighted pieces, some finished, some in process!

Spring Opening

Well it’s time again to get open. Funny how it feels like I haven’t stopped working since Christmas even despite  having had Covid. Hope to see every on Saturday March 6th for our Spring opening!

When will it end!

Hello covid.....yes this crappy virus struck us the end of December. We thought we had weird colds. Things didn’t seem to be improving so we went in for the dreaded swab up the nose and out your eye test on January 8th. Just kidding the test wasn’t all that bad but my eyes did water a bit! Boom....positive!  The last 3 weeks have  been interesting. We’ve been up and down with quite an array of symptoms. Overall we feel like shit. I guess we are some of the “ long haulers of symptoms”. When does this crap end!!!!!!!! Everyday brings new challenges. Some days we are better then we have another wave of symptoms wash over us. I’ve been trying to work in the studio off and on. Here’s a few pics of the new items......

End of the season

Christmas is only a few days away now. A much needed rest is right around the corner. Here’s a little update on the progress of the Santa dolls...

The ones on the right will look like the antique one on the left when they are finished. There’s much work to be done!

Looking Forward

With Christmas almost upon us and this year coming to a close, it’s time to look to the new year. For 30 plus years we have been making all sorts of vintage style holiday decorations from belsnickles to elves to snowmen and more. We’ve made putz sheep and horses, pigs and cows. We’ve done spun cotton and goose feather trees. We’ve molded, painted and sparkled with mica. We’ve crossed back and forth from Christmas to Easter and Halloween. We’ve done a lot. In 2021 we want to take on a new challenge. Over the next few months we will be working on large Santa candy containers dressed in robes. This is an area I’ve always wanted to work in but never have found the time. Well how’s the time. So forward we go. Fingers crossed!

What’s going on ?

What’s going on you ask? Well that’s the million dollar question! I’d say we are working on lots of Santa’s, snowmen, elves and all things Christmas. Our last day of being open for the Fall season is October 24th. We will be closed until November 14th when we will reopen for the Christmas season. From that point in we will be open Friday’s and Saturday’s 10-5 through December 24th.  Stop by to see us, wear your mask and enjoy the season!
